The number of Local Daily Newspapers in Circulation has been on the decline

Most Kenyans now prefer to get their daily news via online platforms.

The number of local daily newspapers decreased by 4.23% from 46,774 in 2022 to 44,796 in 2023. Out of all the local daily newspapers in circulation, 42,213 were English newspapers and 2,583 were Kiswahili newspapers.
